Dorian and Haley at Home, Pawling, NY

Dorian recently built a greenhouse off the back corner of her house in Dutchess County New York. She has a fantasy that her greenhouse will become integrated into her Womanswork business, leading to creative projects including but not limited to: starting plants from seed for her new vegetable garden whose mission will be to contribute to the local food pantry as well as provide enough harvest to engage in preserving and bottling tomatoes, cukes, etc. for family and friends to enjoy year round; provide a testing ground for new perennials and annuals for my garden and for my clients’ gardens as my landscape design business gets off the ground (after I complete my certification program at The New York Botanical Garden); offer a backdrop for photography for my Womanswork catalog; a place for forcing bulbs in winter; a warm, humid retreat on cold winter days, etc.  Read about the greenhouse project on this blog.
